Here is my activity suggestion for the week, shared well before Saturday because this is time-sensitive! Back in 2013, Dave and I made a trip to Branson, Missouri, with his brothers and sisters. While there, the two of us sprung for tickets to the production of JOSEPH at the Sight and Sound Theater. It was fabulous!

The Branson theater is a replica of the original Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Waiting for the show. No photos allowed during.

In the last few decades, Sight and Sound Theater has featured elaborate life stage shows depicting major stories of the Bible – Noah, Jonah, Queen Esther, Christmas, Joseph, Daniel, Ruth, Samson…and now in 2020 – JESUS. We have not been to any shows in Pennsylvania and currently the theaters are closed due to the Covid19 crisis.

But, I received an e-mail notification that the production of JESUS will be streaming FREE on Easter Weekend only, April 10-12. It will be broadcast on television on TBN on Saturday at 1:00 pm Eastern Time. We will be able to stream it all weekend – for FREE. Details are at www.jesusevent.com

From the e-mail: “While the full feature won’t be available until Friday, April 10, you can get access to exclusive behind-the-scenes videos today! Go backstage and see how the show was created, how the animals were trained, and how it all was captured on camera. Only available on TBN. Watch free on your favorite device by downloading the TBN app, or stream it online.”

I had to set up an account with name, e-mail, and password. The videos are really interesting, especially if you’re into theater, movie making, the Gospels, or baby doll sheep and kune kune pigs! Many churches have done wonderful Holy Week presentations in previous years, including ours. This year is different, but we can sit alone or with our family this weekend to watch enactments of biblical events and and hear teachings from JESUS.
