1 MORE RECIPE: I love to collect and try new recipes. Once in a while, though, I remember an old favorite, not made in years, and bring it back to our table. It’s even better when I can share the treat, as I did last week when my Bible study group came on a hot summer afternoon. I was pleased to pull a Peach Yogurt Pie out of the freezer for my friends. Today I took a frozen Strawberry Yogurt Pie to another friend who is recovering from surgery. Before you ask me to make one for you, check out this super simple recipe:
LIGHT FROZEN YOGURT PIE
You’ll need an 8 ounce container of light whipped topping, 16 ounces of low-fat fruit yogurt, and a ready-made graham cracker crust.
Fold the whipped topping into the yogurt until well blended. Spoon it into the crust and cover. Freeze for a few hours.
Remove the pie from the freezer about 15 minutes before cutting. Add fresh fruit to the top if you like.
Makes 8-10 yummy servings.
2 YEARS OF BLOGGING: They say time flies when you’re having fun. When it comes to Thoughts Collected by Lisa, I’d say that is true. This 107th post marks the second anniversary of my blog. I can barely believe it! Maybe you have thought, “I’d like to start a blog, but…” Maybe you have ideas, expertise, or musings that you would like to share. Some blogs have very specific focus, while others, Thoughts Collected by Lisa included, are pretty freewheeling. Many bloggers include instructions about how to start a blog. A quick search on “How to start a blog” will unearth lots of help. I’d be happy to help with questions you have as well.
One of my summer goals is to rework the Categories, trying to reduce the number and better define what I write about. The summer is passing quickly, as is this second anniversary. I still hope to accomplish that goal. Another goal is to add text to my own photos at times. I’ve signed up with Canva with that purpose in mind. When I need a free photo, I go straight to Pixabay.
My domain and hosting are paid up for another year, so the Thoughts will continue if it is the Lord’s will.
A GIVEAWAY: We celebrated the first anniversary by sharing comments about Wonder in response to Wonder Under a Polar Bear. In honor of the second anniversary, I’d like to give a Dairy Queen gift card that will pay for two ice cream treats. To enter the drawing, tell us in a comment which one of my summer recipes you would like to try, this Frozen Yogurt Pie or one of my 3 Simple Summer Recipes. I will draw one name on August 10 and contact the winner if a mailing address is needed.
Thank you so much for reading Thoughts Collected by Lisa. I invite you to sign up to receive an e-mail each week as I add a post. Just enter your name and e-mail address in the boxes and follow instructions about confirming.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3
I always enjoy your blog posts as I read them. I do some journaling just to write down thoughts, scripture verses that meant a lot to me. However I’m not as good as you in putting it all together to share with others. God has blessed you, Lisa, with a writing talent. Your writings are inspiring.
I love pumpkin pie. So I must try your pumpkin praline pie recipe. 🍰
Thanks for your kind words, Lauratta. I enjoyed spending time with you yesterday. I admire your quiet spirit. What a wonderful time you must have with our Lord, thinking about and writing down special scripture verses. God bless you! -Lisa
Your “frozen yogurt pie” recipe is similar to the dessert Tom and I usually have. We call it “go-urt” , which is what one of our granddaughters used to call “yogurt”.
I mix together Fage 0% fat yogurt with a little Cool whip, 1teaspoon of homemade strawberry freezer jam and fruit-blueberries, strawberries or peaches.
All I ( and Tom) can say is “YUM!
Keep blogging what the Lord puts on your heart, Lisa. It’s a great way for us
far-away friends to continue being a part of your life.

I have had this recipe since we first got married 18 years ago, but havent made it in at least a decade- just had forgotten about it. So thank you for reminding me about this quick, easy, & light dessert! (And the rest of the food too!)
I’m glad the food blessed your family. It was my pleasure to bring it. I hear that you’re doing well and praise God for your recovery! I’ll let you know if you win the DQ card 🙂 – Lisa
