Well, Lisa has not been Collecting her Thoughts quite as well lately. She hasn’t stopped thinking and does from time to time have some pretty profound ideas and inspirations running through her mind. But they seem to keep running instead of settling down into a topic to write about.
Many of the thoughts are related to her Sowing project. She was amazed to find sprouting seeds after only four days! Then a few more after a week. But the Snapdragons were a little slow and they were the whole reason for the project!
Finally, tiny little leaves have come up. Patience is required. And hope. Growth takes time, growth of plants, growth of fruit, physical growth, spiritual growth. Fruit happens, eventually.
Another train of thought relates to Lisa’s neighbors. She admires them as they live through this time, the wife who is unable to visit her husband of so many years while he tries to gain strength in a nursing facility so he can come back home, the family consisting of a pharmacy manager, a funeral director, a police officer, a food store manager, all working, all risking exposure to COVID19, the man next door whose job is keeping the power on through this season of storms and his wife who is working at the county board of elections this month, the families with young children and parents who are not working. These thoughts must lead to prayers and possibly to actions of kindness and caring, sometimes in the form of a COVID19 mask.
Lisa wonders if she will be using Christmas themed fabric on masks
Sometimes she thinks about starting an on-line Bible study or Marriage Class for women. Other times her thoughts are about family members who are hours away and about how and when she will see them again. How will Mother’s Day be celebrated? Every day there are thoughts about what to make for lunch and dinner.
And every day, Lisa plans to write, but is not sure whether to keep writing every day.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
